Part-Time Senior Bookkeeper (Bury)

Senior Bookkeeper wanted for our client in Bury

About the Role:

The role is to work with our client in the Engineering industry. They are looking for an experienced and commercially-minded Finance manager to look after the day-to-day accounting, streamline the accounting processes, and help move the business forward, on a part-time basis.

About You:

You should be a experienced Finance manager who enjoys working with growing SMEs. Ideally, you are already self-employed, with at least 3 days of availability per week.

Your expertise should include:

• Customer invoicing and sales ledger management

• General Bookkeeping

• Credit control and debtor reporting to directors

• Supplier invoices and purchase ledger management

• Drafting payment runs for approval

• Supplier reconciliations

• Bank postings and reconciliations

• Expense and credit card management and reconciliation

• VAT returns

• Payroll (possibly) and pension administration

• Month-end journals including depreciation, accruals, and prepayments

• Experience with Xero accountancy software

Rate of pay: £22.50 per hour

Hours: 3 days per week

Location: Bury (onsite)
