Part-Time Senior Bookkeeper – Surrey

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Senior Bookkeeper to support our clients across Surrey and the surrounding areas. You will work directly within client businesses across a variety of industries, including professional services, manufacturing, retail, construction, technology and media.

In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting activities, streamline financial processes, and support clients in making informed commercial decisions. This is a part-time position with the requirement to have 2/3 days available

About You

You are an experienced Senior Bookkeeper with a strong track record supporting growing SMEs. Formal qualifications are not required — hands-on experience, accuracy, and commercial awareness are what matter most.

You should be available for at least two days per week and will confident working independently within client environments and managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Your expertise should include:

  • Customer invoicing and sales ledger management

  • Credit control and debtor reporting to directors

  • Supplier invoice processing and purchase ledger management

  • Preparing payment runs for approval

  • Supplier statement reconciliations

  • Bank postings and reconciliations

  • Expense and credit card management and reconciliation

  • VAT return preparation and submission

  • Payroll (potentially) and pension administration

  • Month-end journals, including depreciation, accruals and prepayments

This part-time position can sit comfortably alongside other clients in your portfolio.

Location: Surrey (Guildford/Woking/Camberley/Farnborough)

Rate of pay: £22.50 per hour
